On the 23rd of August, the Education Director of Microsoft Asia Pacific, Mr Don Carlson visited CHMS. This is the second visit of a Microsoft’s Asia Pacific Education Representative since the first visit in 2014 of Ms. Felicia Brown, Microsoft Asia Pacific Project Manager.

Chinese Education Teacher Asian Tour Group visits CHMS

19 educators from “2017 Chinese Education Teacher Asian Tour Group” arrived in Brunei on 31 July. The group has been in Cambodia, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries giving talks and trainings on teaching the Chinese language and Brunei is their final stop.

10 Chung Hwa Students and 3 BOD Join 10th Summer Camp in Guizhou, China

The 10th ASEAN- China Summer Camp was held from 26th July to 3rd August in Guizhou Nationalities University, China. Led by 3 board members, 10 high flyers of Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB were invited to participate in the aforementioned function because of their excellent results in HSK Examination. Organised by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and co-hosted by Guizhou Nationalities University, China, the camp is a prodigious event aimed to promote a love for Chinese language.

On July 23rd, Brunei-Muara District had the ‘meet-and-greet’ event with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for his 71st birthday celebrations.

Chung Hwa Middle School, B.S.B. hosted “Run! Electronic Funfair” for all the chinese schools in the country. The event successfully ended on the 14th. The first three winners from each category were selected.

Kindergarten Department celebrates His Majesty’s 71st Birthday

In conjunction with His Majesty, the Sultan’s 71st birthday, the Kindergarten Department of Chung Hwa Middle School organised several activities to celebrate the harmony and prosperity of the nation.

To add colour to the celebration, CHMS Kindergarten Department held a wide variety of activities which incorporated fun into learning, thus creating a joyous and auspicious atmosphere.

2017 Sports Meet of Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB A Great Success

THE Green House of Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS), Bandar Seri Begawan emerged as the overall champion during the school’s 16th Sports Meet.

Wong Wen Chi from the Yellow House who bagged four gold medals and broke three records was adjudged the best female athlete.

Lim Wee Lee from the Green House who bagged four gold medals and broke three records was adjudged the best male athlete.
