KINDERGARTEN Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival
In conjunction with the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, CHMS Kindergarten recently launched a number of fun activities from 2nd to 4th October.
The activities done included class Moon Cake-Making, ‘Teaching of the Legends’, Story Telling, Lantern Making, Song and Poetry recitations.
CHMS bags two spots in Yayasan Secondary School Oratory Competition
Shamita Thanushri Sures and Mandy Briettany Teo Hui Mei won second and third places respectively in the 7th Yayasan Secondary School Oratory Competition held on 31st August 2017. The two were among 20 other students from 11 private schools that took part in the said competition.

2017 Patrol Leadership Course
Chung Hwa Middle School sent 8 Year9 scouts for this course namely, Eric Wong Kai Hung (Leader), Ling Mei Shiaw (Asst. Leader), Ling Tze Houng (Quarter Master), Natasha Au Wen Sing, Natasha Lim Jia En, Shirley Ng, Ng Ken Yon and Tang Chee Kiong and two Scouts Masters namely, Skipper Kwan Fui San and Mr. Liew Sie Ping to the 7th Patrol Leadership Course 2017.
CHMS Homecoming Day 1118
A Chinese proverb says, “The tallest tree is attached to its roots and the longest river comes from a source.”
Our alma mater, Chung Hwa Middle School, is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, an Alumni Homecoming Day will be held on 18 November 2017 (Saturday).
Chung Hwa Scouts Joins 31st Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree
Led by 2 teachers-in-charge, twelve Battalion 1003 scouts from Chung Hwa Middle School BSB, attended the 31st Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree and gained invaluable lessons and experience.
Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree in Mongolia
Chung Hwa Middle School participated in the 31st Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree in Mongolia from 26 July to 3 August 2017. The theme was “Go Nomad”.
The jamboree was attended by around 5,000 Scouts aged 12½ to 17 years, both boys and girls from Mongolia, countries of the Asia Pacific Region and from across the world.
CHMS Walkathon 2017
Chung Hwa Middle School has started the celebration of its 95th anniversary this year. Among the many activities lined up for the big celebration is the the walkathon which was held on the 17th September 2017.
19th Higher Education Exhibition , CHMS organised higher education fair
Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB, recently organised a higher education fair 2017 and further studies workshops. The event offered the graduates an excellent opportunity to pick up prospectuses and other information about higher education institutions of learning. The events attracted Year 10 Express students and Year 11 Students to attend the fair and workshops.
Mr. Don Carlson, Education Director of Microsoft Asia Pacific visits CHMS
On the 23rd of August, the Education Director of Microsoft Asia Pacific, Mr Don Carlson visited CHMS. This is the second visit of a Microsoft’s Asia Pacific Education Representative since the first visit in 2014 of Ms. Felicia Brown, Microsoft Asia Pacific Project Manager.
