YB Ong Tiong Oh, member of the Legislative Council (LegCo) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CHMS BSB together with the members of Board of Directors and the school principals presented a contribution of $5,000 to Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Mohd Zain bin Haji Serudin, the author of the book ‘Melayu Islam Beraja: Suatu Pendekatan’ (Malay Islamic Monarchy: A Closer Understanding), and to express gratitude to the author for his permission to translate his book to Mandarin.

CHMS students win Best Entry Award in Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa 2017-2018

On 25th January, Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa 2017-2018 held the award presentation ceremony at The Rizqun International Hotel. The objective of Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa is to provide an opportunity to children worldwide to understand the way of life of the people in the Asian region. Eighty students from Brunei schools attended the award presentation ceremony. Seventy students received the Excellence Award, eight received the Best Entry Award and two received the Special Juries Award.

CHMS determines to be the most sought-after school in Brunei

The member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CHMS BSB, YB Ong Tiong Oh, delivered his speech in the Scholarship Award Ceremony today. He mentioned that in 2017, the school celebrated her 95th -year anniversary. In addition to continuing to adhere to the school’s vision of being the most sought-after school in Brunei, the board also hoped to create a new Milestone, striving to be an “Elite School.”

CHMS awards scholarship to PSR’s high achievers

Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan held a scholarship award ceremony at Darussalam Hall on the 22nd of January. The school granted scholarship to 35 students who achieved 5As in their 2017 PSR examination and scored an average of 80 marks and above in their Chinese Language examination.

CHMS CCA REGISTRATION DAY

On the 19th of January, Chung Hwa Middle School held its registration day for 2018 Co-Curriculum Activities at the school’s Darussalam Hall. The CCAs complement the students’ academic learning in school and support their intellectual, emotional, social, moral, creative and physical development. Students from Upper Primary and Secondary levels were encouraged to sign up for at least one CCA this school year. The registration started at 8am and a total of 26 CCA booths were set up at the hall. Students and parents who attended the event visited the booths for registration and information.
